Juliet speaks these lines, perhaps the most famous in the play, in the balcony scene. Leaning out of her upstairs window, unaware that Romeo is below in the orchard, she asks why Romeo must be Romeo—why he must be a Montague, the son of her family’s greatest enemy (“wherefore” means “why,” not “where”; Juliet is not, as is often assumed, asking where Romeo is). Still unaware of Romeo’s presence, she asks him to deny his family for her love. She adds, however, that if he will not, she will deny her family in order to be with him if he merely tells her that he loves her.
A major theme in Romeo and Juliet is the tension between social and family identity (represented by one’s name), and one’s inner identity. Juliet believes that love stems from one’s inner identity, and that the feud between the Montagues and the Capulets is a product of the outer identity, based only on names. She thinks of Romeo in individual terms, and thus her love for him overrides her family’s hatred for the Montague name. She says that if Romeo were not called “Romeo” or “Montague,” he would still be the person she loves. “What’s in a name?” she asks. “That which we call a rose / By any other word would smell as sweet”.

Romeo speaks these lines in the so-called balcony scene, when, hiding in the Capulet orchard after the feast, he sees Juliet leaning out of a high window . Though it is late at night, Juliet’s surpassing beauty makes Romeo imagine that she is the sun, transforming the darkness into daylight. Romeo likewise personifies the moon, calling it “sick and pale with grief” at the fact that Juliet, the sun, is far brighter and more beautiful. Romeo then compares Juliet to the stars, claiming that she eclipses the stars as daylight overpowers a lamp—her eyes alone shine so bright that they will convince the birds to sing at night as if it were day.
This quote is important because in addition to initiating one of the play’s most beautiful and famous sequences of poetry, it is a prime example of the light/dark motif that runs throughout the play. Many scenes in Romeo and Juliet are set either late at night or early in the morning, and Shakespeare often uses the contrast between night and day to explore opposing alternatives in a given situation. Here, Romeo imagines Juliet transforming darkness into light; later, after their wedding night, Juliet convinces Romeo momentarily that the daylight is actually night (so that he doesn’t yet have to leave her room).

I had the oddest dream last night and I oddly remembered most of it. The dream was in three parts or scenes as I saw it like POV(point of view shot).
The first part was that I was in Science class (I’m in the 10th grade btw) and there was this creepy teacher assistant type of guy. He looked like one of the wood shop teachers, just really old and creepy. I was leaving class when he looked me up and down (exaggeratedly obvious) and he put his hand on my shoulder and I ran out of class. I was looking for my friends because it was lunch, I couldn’t find them, the halls were like a ghost town. I went to the office to get help because the man showed up on every corner I turned. I was trying to get one of the guidance teachers to help, she brought me into her dark office and said “don’t worry he’s just friendly” then I said “please make him stop” as I tried sitting on this green bed in her office (:S) and there were dead people in the bed. She proceeded to lead me out of her office and said “here take your stuff and leave. now”. I knew he was listening and I left the office in shame.
Then in the second part I proceeded to escape the school and I ended up going in front of the mall, outside was my childhood “friend” (who then was an outcast because she lost all her hair for some reason) and she was selling ugly prosthetic wigs, I told her I had to go home to get some money (:S). Then that creepy guy showed up again and I ran into the mall.
Onto part three, in the mall it was like a hotel lobby: big, fancy and empty. I was lost and looking for an elevator/escalator to escape, and man was still stalking me (I was getting annoyed now). I ran up and down hallways until I found an elevator that was old and broken the lights were flashing and it was shaking on the outside, the doors wouldn’t open. Outside the elevator was a crying and poor-looking baby in a cleaning cart. Then my aunt and uncle and a few other randoms appeared saying that the mother abandoned the baby because she was a drug addict. The creepy man was also standing near by. The baby was starving and ill, I saw a bottle on the back of the cart and my aunt said “the mother drugged the bottle, don’t feed it that”. I was so stressed I yelled out “can somebody please get this baby some formula?!”, I never screamed so loud in my life and I dropped to my knees and cried to myself because I was embarrassed of the people seeing me cry.

Wow. I’m the same age as you and that sounds HORRIBLE. I wouldn’t blame you for being really shaken after that sh1t.
Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your point of view, dreams rarely mean that much. They are mostly just images and fragmented ideas drawn from your subconscious and displayed next to and over each other while you sleep, depending on what stimulation you experienced when you were last awake. I’d be surprised if it really “meant” that much, but it depends on what you mean by what it “meant”– of course dreams can’t do a lot of things that they are represented as doing in media, such as predicting the future or helping us talk to the deceased, so if that’s what you’re thinking of, don’t worry about it. However, dreams do sometimes have other sorts of “meanings”. They can often help us understand our subconscious in a way we usually can’t when awake. If you are worried about something, for instance, a dream might reflect this somehow.
BUT, all in all, dreams, especially freaky crap like what you described, usually have little if any significance to your life, and only make you worried about things you otherwise wouldn’t have thought about in the first place.

Right, I really love my Boyfriend. More than anything, but I just feel like we’re growing apart, he lies to me, if I ask him a question he snaps at me saying “Why do you keep questioning me?” and usually I don’t even get an answer. I’m not clingy and neither is he, but I have to let him go before I end up hurting any more. He’s lied to me about things and sworn on our relationship and I’ve caught him out and he swore on us? I really hate having to do this but I don’t want to hurt any more 
I barely trust him and I wish I could and it just feels like we’re grown apart we text a few times in the day but hardly at all and text sometimes for a little while but a lot of the time it’s me who makes the effort to text him, and if I want to talk to him on the phone, I’ll have to ask, and he’ll phone an hour or two late.
I’ve tried to dump him before because of the lying and this was too his face, he didn’t even seem bothered he was just like “so what are you going to do, go home now?” but I couldn’t face it as I love him so much, he doesn’t love me and I know it
But there is parts of our relationship which is amazing, like we do go out a lot. Like we went for a meal on Friday and we go to places, but not in a greedy way, I always pay for myself? He bought concert tickets for us once, but he sold them and he knew I was really excited about going.
I really love him but I think it’s for the best

We avoided foreclosure on our house a few months ago by doing a “quick sale” I believe…is this the same as a “short sale”? And I am wondering now that tax season is here…am I going to be responsible for the taxes on the sale of the house? I didn’t make a cent off of the sale but I’m just not sure how this all works. I know that the house was sold for less than what was owed on the mortgage but I do not owe the difference because the lender accepted the terms and I have a statement from the mortgage company confirming all of this however the letter does not mention taxes. Anyone know about this stuff??

You won’t have to this year. There was a new tax law passed that excludes foreclosure income from taxes for last year.

I have a 9 year old daughter, and one of the things she asked for for Christmas is makeup. She has never worn any, except for stage makeup for shows.
Now, I am not asking for advice as to whether or not she should wear makeup or not – I have talked with my husband already, and we decided that while we think she’s still far too young to wear makeup outside the house, there’s nothing wrong with it if she wants to wears it around the house for a couple of years and learned how to apply it, find her own style, and not make herself look like a baby prostitute.
What I would like to know is some places that sell relatively inexpensive makeup that would be fun for a young girl to just try out, what cosmetics would be good for a first timer, etc. Like I said, I don’t want or need advice as to whether or not I should allow it – like I said, my husband and I discussed it and we are the parents.
And she is also getting toys, like a doll and a magic trick kit and art supplies and some rollerblades, so I’m not trying to “make her grow up too fast.” Just a disclaimer – thanks!
Haha I’m not paranoid what other people think, if I was there are some questions on here I wouldn’t have answered. But people who think their advice is worth its weight in gold really annoy me, so I’m trying to filter them out. Probably won’t work though.

It’s not professional by any means but most places like Walmart/Target/Sears and more sell the make up value kits. It’s like a big box with plenty of lip gloss, lip stick, eye shadow, blush, etc. etc. It comes with all the tools you will ever need. I wouldn’t recommend it for an adult, but for young girls it’s a fun kit to experiment with. Plus they are fairly inexpensive and you can get them as cheap as you want or as expensive as you want. They typically are located where you find all the pre-packaged bath supplies. =)
